zimrly is not a typical startup. It's built inside MYA Weinland Hotel in Kobern-Gondorf — an owner-operated 8-room hotel on the Moselle river. Every edge case, every splitting rule, every cancellation logic is tested in real bookkeeping there first, before it reaches customers.
Why zimrly exists
Owner-operated hotels lose hours each week turning PMS bookings into § 14 UStG-compliant invoices by hand — with VAT splitting, tourist tax, cancellations, groups, room changes. Existing PMS (Mews, Apaleo, 3rpms, Protel) can't do this; the accounting tools (easybill, lexoffice, sevdesk) don't know about hospitality edge cases. zimrly fills exactly that gap and hands the result to the system your tax advisor already knows.

Philip Kleudgen runs MYA Weinland Hotel with his family. Before that, 10 years in e-commerce startups in the Netherlands and Germany — industries where automated invoicing has been the standard for years. zimrly finally brings that standard to the German hotel industry.
